Meet Dishi, a cheerful & lively bride who just made us fall in love with her priceless expressions. This gorgeous designer stole the last name of an Army Officer Vedant, and the two recently had their dream wedding in the hills. From planning her wedding to designing her stunning Mehendi Outfit, the bride is giving major goals. Her flawless bridal look in a lovely red lehenga & the magnificent couple’s shot in the river is stealing all the limelight. This beautiful Dehradun wedding has stored a lot to make you drool over.
Meet Dishi & Vedant
How they met:
“I’m a fashion designer running my own boutique in Ghaziabad and my husband is an Army Officer. We both met through a common friend and started talking to each other over text. Then kept talking for hours on Phone. After a month of talking, we went on a road trip to Mumbai from Delhi. That trip just made us fall in love with each other. We dated for 2.5 years and got married on 12th December 2019.”- says Dishi.
Wedding Festivities
“I planned my wedding in a very short period of time. As my husband is in the army, so there was no fixed date or time for the marriage. I decided on all the themes, wedding decor, dances and everything. For the Haldi, the theme was yellow, so we kept the decor basic with yellow flowers. For Mehendi, the theme was Village Mela. The decor was multicolour with all tiny entertainment zones for the kids and adults. And as the wedding was a day wedding, so I kept the background a little pastel in colours contrasting our outfits. The colour scheme for the wedding decor was Pink and white.
I was very clear about what to wear and how to wear for my wedding. So I chose all the different styles for different functions. I wanted all my dresses to look different from each other and also wanted to wear all types of dresses including westerns and Indians.”- says the bride.
Haldi
For Haldi, the bride wore a yellow sharara kurta paired with a floral mang tikka. She went with minimal makeup & looked as pretty as picture. While the groom perfectly coordinated with the bride with his yellow kurta & white pyjama. The two were setting major #coordinationgoals with their outfits.
Mehendi
The bride rocked her Mehendi look in a self- designed green coloured drape dhoti skirt and a pink peplum top. As the couple dated from the past 2.5 years, Dishi added ” Since 2016″ in her Mehendi design. Isn’t that cute?
Wedding
“And for the wedding, I wore my favourite Red Wedding Lehenga from Frontier Raas. The lehenga was absolutely the kind I wanted, not too much and not too less, just perfect 🙂
My wedding planner was a great help in organising everything. He made sure that whatever idea had in mind was
made live. He was patient enough to fulfil all my needs and requirements. I had a planned entry for myself (with colour bombs) and my groom’s entry ( on a bike). We were all prepared for it. I always wanted a wedding in the hills with a river. And, I got the best location with the best people to follow my leads. All these wonderful Instagram pages like zowed, wishnwed, brides of India, inspired me a lot… I collected all the ideas from these and transformed them into my own kind of thing that I wanted.”- says the bride.
Most Fun Part From Wedding
“The most fun part of the wedding was actually planning and executing the wedding. I’m really the boss around my family & I was the one going behind everyone to do things even at my own wedding haha… I loved each and everything related to my wedding as I was too excited and desperately waiting for it. Above all, I really enjoyed the shopping part & enjoyed designing my clothes for functions. I loved rehearsing and preparing my dance sequences and teaching everybody else too. Every bit of the wedding is really special to me.”-says Dishi.
Advice For Other Brides-To-Be
Be calm and quick in whatever you do. If you like something just grab it, don’t wait or think too much, do what you like and what you want for yourself. Most important choose your wedding dress, jewellery, makeup artist and photographer very wisely and carefully. They are the most important people at the wedding, trust me.
