Wedding Festivities
“Our wedding was an intimate affair of about 100 people with only our close friends and family members in attendance. We had planned for a poolside rooftop wedding but due to the cyclone the weather conditions we had to shift it indoors as it started raining. The wedding was held in a beautiful banquet in Le Meridien Hyderabad. We choose PinkPagdi as our wedding planner.” – says the bride.
Mehendi
We kept the Floral theme for Mehndi. For decor, we had beautiful open-air decor with a decorated swing for the bride and the dhol players playing dhol.
The Mehendi theme was floral wear. I went for a floral dark blue lehenga with a contrast pink blue blouse with detailed latkans of our wedding hashtag on the lehenga and customized latkans with our initials on the blouse. The groom wore a kurta pajama with a floral Nehru jacket.
My Mehendi started with Ganeshji for good luck. I also had Radha Krishna mehndi design, groom applying sindoor on the bride, hashtag #Ranikishaadi, lotus work, couple kiss, groom coming on the horse (Barat) Mehendi design on the hands. And on the legs, I had elephants and lotus mehndi design.
Sangeet
For the sangeet/cocktail/engagement we had a Bling theme. So the decor banquet hall that had a stage lit up and a screen behind and tables and chairs decorated with a centerpiece with flower and the bar counter and a food counter on the other side.
The bride went for a crystal pastel baby blue net lehenga and diamond jewelry. While the groom wore a golden dhoti and kurta with a jacket complementing the theme.
Haldi
“For the Haldi, we had a banquet hall and the stage was decorated with yellow flowers and the other side had the food counter. For Haldi, the dress code was yellow so everyone wore yellow traditional outfits. I went for a yellow and dark pink patiyala paired with floral jewelry and a customized chooda cover.”- says the bride.
Wedding
“For the wedding, we had a rooftop poolside open-air venue but due to bad weather and sudden rains it got shifted to an indoor hall decorated beautifully and the eating area on the side and the mandap on the other side.
“I went for a 2 toned red velvet embroidered traditional lehenga with gold jewelry. Keeping covid in mind we also got a customized bride and groom mask.”- says the bride.
The Most Fun Part From Wedding Day
“The most fun part of the wedding was exchanging the garlands and the joota chori.”- says the bride.
One Piece Of Advice For Other Brides-To-Be
“A bride should be prepared for all kinds of weather conditions. On my wedding day, we had a rooftop poolside venue but because of the cyclone in Chennai the weather of Hyderabad was also affected and it started raining heavily in the month of November all of a sudden. So considering the theme we had to make last-minute changes in the venue and it became an indoor affair.” – says the bride.
