They say you don’t find Love but Love finds you. It can happen at the most unusual time and at most unexpected place and that’s how our dentist bride Thapsaya met her Software Engineer Husband Anand. It’s not an office romance or a childhood romance, this one we can say IPL Ne Bna Di Jodi. Anand first saw Thapasya at an IPL match, 7 years ago and the two have been in love ever since.
Not only these two have two varied different professions but also two different cultures while Thapsaya is a Telugu, Anand is a Tamil Brahmin. Their 2 day wedding celebration was barrel of laughs and not only did the guests had a ball the bride and groom too had the celebration of a lifetime.
Mangalasnanam
The celebration kicked off with “Mangalasnanam”, a ritual where holy water is poured over the bride and the groom. Bride Thapasya looked every bit of etheral in white and blue floral lehenga accessorized with floral jewellery. Mangalasnanam was followed by sing-along Karoake and pool side games.
Thapasya got this stunning lehenga from a Designer Exhibition in Bangalore. Isn’t it beautiful ?
Pellikuthuru
For the next event “Pellikuthuru” the men dressed in white while women wore pink sarees Bride Thapasya wore a sunshine yellow silk saree paired with pear satladahaar and Anand the groom color cordinated with her. Thapasya looked every bit of a Royal Princess for Pellikuthuru.
Pool Side Mehendi
Thapsaya & Anand made heads turn at the Mehendi with a well-coordinated look. Thapsya skipped the usual floral jewellery look for Mehendi and opted for #Dulhaniya Earrings with a polki necklace , pearl mathappati and tinted coolers. Bride Thapasya says she took inspiration from Sabyasachi Brides to create the look.
Muhurtham
Love birds Thapsaya & Anand coordinated their outfits for Muhurutham. Thaspaya opted for red Kanchipuram saree & took every bit of inspiration from Pinterest for her bridal blouse. She selected the design from Pinterest and got the same customized from her Tailor and the results are stunning.
Unlike Indian weddings where the groom arrives in a Baraat, here both the bride and the groom had their baraat for the entry. There was a special Dandiya team from Hyderabad to entertain the guests.
The Wedding Rituals
Special Moments for the Bride
Special moments of my wedding I will definitely say sangeet because we had spectacular live performances from friends and families and especially my husband dancing on the stage for the very first time in his life. It was indeed an unforgettable day! Another special moment was a countdown done by family and friends for our nuptials which happened at 10:36 am.
Well bride Thapasya sure has given lot of cues for those planning their wedding, it isn’t difficult to plan a fairytale wedding on your own with family and friends. Thapasya planned her beautiful wedding with the help of her mother, sister and her uncles.
