#StoryOfAGlance-Meet Fashion Designer Bride Divya & Her Love Dipesh

“From our first meet to our wedding date.
Being schoolmates and still strangers.
And from strangers to soulmates.
Everything felt strange and so well planned above there by God for us.
We totally believe that.”– says the bride.

Deepesh and I were in the same school and never saw each other. In April 2017, on his sister’s birthday, he saw me for the first time and had his “Ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga moment“.From very that moment he wanted to talk and tried to get my number from her.
I am a Fashion Designer, so he found a way to start talking by getting a few of his outfits done for his friend’s wedding. He tried his best in every way to impress and as he says, he knew in that first glance that he wanted to marry me so he did put in a lot of effort to it.

I couldn’t help but fell for him. My parents already knew about it, later he informed his parents too. Our families knew each other and everything fell well into place for us. And here we are married now.”-says the bride.

A Romantic Pre-Wedding Shoot In Himachal

The couple had their beautiful pre-wedding shoot at Aamod Resorts, Shoghi. Their pictures are saying it all that how much fun they had while shooting. All pre-wedding outfits were self-designed by the bride. “The photography team, The Videowala we had was the best we could have ever selected for ourselves.”-says the bride.

Quirky Gift Cards & The Hashtag #StoryOfAGlance

I am a fashion designer and creativity has just been my plus point since forever. So gift cards and everything I got made was the idea picked from Pinterest & it was decorated with a touch of my own thing. The hashtag was selected after discussing around so many of them. All our cousins made up a group and finally came up with this hashtag #StoryOfAGlance. As Dipesh fell in love with me at just the first glance and this is how we finalized the hashtag.”-says the bride.

Divya approached her bridesmaid & bridesmen with wedding gifts and the cards. For all the bridesmaid there were bangles to be worn on the Haldi ceremony and for boys, she had ties & a personalized message. She also had personalized messages for her parents as well as groom too. She sent him a card & a gift just before they both went to get ready for the wedding.

Isn’t this is the cutest idea to make your parents, friends & your partner feel special? We loved the way the bride sent the
bridesmaid & bridesmen proposal cards with beautiful wordings.

A Beautiful Engagement Ceremony

Our beautiful designer bride Divya looked gorgeous in a green colored lehenga with ruffle dupatta while the groom looked handsome in Jodhpuri Sherwani paired with dhoti. The two looked extremely stunning on their engagement ceremony.

A Vibrant Mehendi Ceremony

For mehendi, the bride had pink as the theme. All the decorations were in pink and white. The dreamcatchers were hanging on the tree with white lights. And the backdrop was again with the same colors with a white cycle having pink flowers.

As Mehendi theme was pink for everyone so I chose green for myself. Because green and pink go well together. I kept the outfit it simple and light because I knew I had to sit wearing it for hours.” – says the bride.

There were small-small details in bride’s mehendi design. Her mehendi started with the “OM” intricated on her arm. She also got the bride & groom basic figures, wedding date & their hashtag intricated on her hands. All their family members & friends had their hashtag written in their mehendi.
The main highlight of the mehendi was her tattoo which has both their initials. She got that highlighted with the design around it.

A Powerpack Sangeet Night

The sangeet outfit was a traditional green Anarkali with heavy mang tikka and earrings with a subtle organza dupatta all embroidered. For the groom, we made a printed blazer with a green color waistcoat to coordinate with my outfit.“- says bride.

A Glitzy Cocktail Night

For the cocktail, the couple looked fabuluous in self-designed outfits. The Designer bride Divya chose a simple black gown with fur all over the hem. While the groom looked dapper in a blue suit for a cocktail with a self-design waistcoat to match her gown.

A Colourful Haldi Ceremony

For Haldi, the theme was green or blue. The traditional painted elephants and multicolor dupattas made the decor colorful. In the corner, quirky decoration pieces with colorful frames were kept for a photo booth.
The bride went for simple & no makeup looks for haldi. She looked elegant in a traditional blue saree from Rajasthan with a mirror work blouse paired with Dulhaniya earrings from Krafted with Happiness & totally nailed it.

A Royal Wedding

The bride & groom made the royal appearance on their wedding day with the bride in exquisite red lehenga paired up with double dupatta & a veil. While the groom complemented her looks in Jodhpuri Sherwani with the beautiful embroidery work on it.

I was very much inspired by my mom bridal looks and it was my dream to look like her on my wedding day. So I decided to go for basic traditional chooda with no glitters & veil as she had on her wedding. The lehenga was bought but the dupattas and veil are all designed by us.” – says the bride.
She got the shoes customized from a cousin who is an artist. She ordered similar shoes online but they were not delivered on time. Her cousin also made customized hangers for her and the groom with their name & the wedding date written on it.

Best Moments From The Wedding

Everything at that time was the best. Each moment had something special about it. It was all like a fairy tale for us and we are still living that.”- says the bride.
