Intro
We all know what it feels like to have a wedding in the family, the excitement begins the moment the marriage is fixed. It’s a full house of excitement, ideas and madness and it truly is at its peak when the countdown begins. This Destination wedding in Udaipur made sure to keep the excitement and fun quotient elevated and airborne too.
Meet Ayushi & Ankit
Ankit and Ayushi met in B-School, while college romances are pretty much common, but this one isn’t a college romance. Ayushi had heard quite a lot about Ankit from her other friends and was quite intrigued as to know Who he really was, that had only amazing things to be heard of. She noticed him in the college night mess one day and they both happened to be seated for dinner on the same table the very night. It wasn’t that day they started talking, it was just one of those days when you sit beside someone for dinner at the mess. They started talking only after college was over. Ayushi says,” Ankit is an extreme extrovert. He is generally the vocal one in big groups but that day I could feel his eyes on me. I personally like to think he was hooked since then.”
Beginning Of The Epic Adventure
Ankit and Ayushi’s destination wedding in Udaipur was a dream that came into life. Ayushi’s trip to Udaipur with her friends got her fascinated to Udaipur it was like a dream for her. Somehow or we can call it destiny after looking out for different places and venues it was Udaipur that made it to the Ayushi and Ankit’s dream destination wedding spot.
On-Boarding
The journey from Kolkata to Udaipur was power-packed with fun in-flight games, a host to keep the energy levels high, an in-flight entertainment magazine with information about the bride and groom, customized travel folders and itinerary for the guests. The three-day event was an epic adventure filled with fun for the couple and the guests.
The wedding party was welcomed in Udaipur at the Shiv Niwas and a welcome dinner was hosted for everyone. Au fond, chilled out evening with good food, dancing, laughter and an opportunity for all to relax and mingle before the real madness began.
The decor was kept very modern and regal with the majority of the focus on lighting! The minimal decor accentuated the already beautiful Shiv Niwas Lawns. Ankit and Ayush looked regal in a red and black ensemble by couturiers Sulakshana Monga & Gaurav Gupta respectively.
Mehendi
Mehendi at the lawns of Shiv Niwas, Udaipur was attunement of colour and culture. The artists and vendors from all across Rajasthan were brought in to make this event truly ecstatic. From Langa Troupe giving classical feel to new Bollywood songs to handmade juttis & potters, Mehendi was a beautiful cultural event. Ayushi wore a beautiful outfit in green, which was her mother’s wedding lehenga redesigned for Ayushi for Mehendi. A flashmob, by the groom side, took the bride side by surprise and Ayushi was floored when Ankit came out dancing to the tunes of Sajan Ji Ghar Aye.
Sangeet
After a day of pop and culture, it was time for Glitz and Glamour, the Sangeet Night. The fun-filled Bollywood Night saw guests in the sparkliest of clothes and most extra Bollywood moves. Jay Bhanushali was the host for the night. Zanana Mahal, Udaipur lit up for the most fun-filled evening and witnessed the epic dance performances by both sides of the family and friends and the highlight of the evening was Ayushi’s dreamy Sangeet performance. Ayushi and Ankit sparkled in Tarun Tahiliani & Shantanu & Nikhil ensembles for the night.
Haldi
Haldi ceremony is all about bright colours and some epic fun with haldi. Ayushi and Ankit Haldi ceremony was no different, with fun between haldi rituals and beautiful Radha Krishna Dance performance. Ayushi looked scintillating in a mirror work yellow outfit accessorized with white floral jewellery from Florenza.
The 3-day long fun and festivals came to a final countdown of the wedding. The wedding took place at the pristine Jag Mandir Palace on Lake Pichola, Udaipur. Ayushi says ” These three words can describe my wedding- Dream Come True”. The groom, Ankit arrived with a convoy of Elephants, Horses and Carriages!. The most serene moment of the wedding, Ayushi walking down the aisle with her brothers and it was Jasleen Royal singing to Din Shagna Da as Ayushi walked down to the man of her life. Ayushi and Ankit looked every bit of Royalty dressed up in Rimple and Harpreet Narula outfits.
Looking at these beautiful wedding pictures we agree with Ayushi it’s a dream come true.P.S Ayushi bridal entry does remind us of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding in Italy and the wedding reminds us of Priyanka and Nick’s royal wedding in Jodhpur.
