When you plan a destination wedding in Goa you make sure that everyone has a whale of time and that’s what we loved about Priya & Pankaj’s Goa Wedding. Our gorgeous bride left us amazed with the her immaculately planned destination wedding. She not only win brownie points for perfectly co-ordinating every outfit with hubby Pankaj but also keeping them in sync with the stunning decor. Lavish Rajasthani theme for Mehendi, mesmerizing Peacock theme for Sangeet, each function had its own charm . Above all, the couple gave extra fun doze to their guests by planning a quirky pool party. So, let’s take a ride to this fun-loving couple’s beautiful wedding timeline.
Meet Love Birds- Pankaj & Priya
“We met in the office, and in the first instance, we did not hit it off. One day, Pankaj just asked me out for a date and then the second day, he just proposed me for marriage.” – says the bride.
Engagement
The couple got engaged in July 2018, when Pankaj came back from Hong Kong for a couple of days. It was a mini-grand affair in Juhu millennium club. The decor was a cherry blossom theme, with a touch of subtle colors.
Haldi
For haldi, the theme was traditional yellow. We used marigold flowers, marigold latkans across the banquet, with beautiful silk drapes around to give it a vibrant look. For backdrop hanging latkans & marigold was used, along with the earthen pots near the bride set.
Mehendi
The theme for Mehendi was Rajasthani folk and elements used for the setting, made it look like a traditional village. The decor gave the guests an entirely different experience. The groom wore a breezy golden kurta set with a mehendi color bandi jacket, while the bride wore a henna color lehenga paired with a gorgeous pink floral jewelry to ensure coordination with the decor. Carts were also used to symbolize the Rajasthani culture which showcased a variety of bangles, bindi and other flower ornaments for the guests.
Sangeet
For the sangeet, it was a peacock theme. Priya donned a peacock colored lehenga with the mirror work and the groom was color-coordinated with his indo-western attire. The event was fun, vibrant & very lively to ensure the theme is coordinated with Priya’s attire. The stage backdrop was in peacockgreen and blue shades and had mini lights to compliment the shine from the mirror work on the lehenga.
The sofa chair used for the bride and groom had an artificial peacock made of flowers fixed on the top. The centerpieces were matched with the theme and each table had a peacock feather to give it a rich look rather than more gaudy elements.
Pool Party
“Pankaj always wanted a pool party, to celebrate his last day of freedom with his friends and family. So, we also planned for a pool party. The theme was modern floats and quirky. The decoration was quirky with a lot of bright colors, pool floats, funky designs, and rain showers to beat the summer heat in goa. Specialty stalls such as iced gola and coconut water were also used. We made ensure that everyone had a blasting time in the pool.”- says the bride.
Wedding
Priya had always dreamt of a wedding with a traditional theme, she was not a fancy of modern quirky looks. So, she planned the wedding to the smallest detail and ensure the theme was matching with her attire.
Reception
So, this was one perfectly planned destination wedding in Goa with unlimited fun & loads of beautiful memories.
